Nonino Quintessentia Amaro 750ml

One of our staff favorites! Nonino is an alpine herb based grappa (or grape distillate) that is a beautiful representation of Italian family traditions being passed down through generations. This amaro is aged in barriques of Nevers, Limousin and ex-Sherry small casks. Due to the casks being small, the sherry and aged barrel taste is really embedded in the flavor profile of this grappa but still allows refreshing orange acidity to shine through. It is believed that this amaro should only be consumed on 2 ice cubes with 2 orange peels swathed over the top. This is a great amaro to start off with if you're looking to try one but don't know where to start!

Cocktail:Nonino Manhattan 

1oz Nonino Quintessentia Amaro 

1oz Bourbon or Rye of your choice  (depends how sweet you want the cocktail to be) 

0.5oz  Carpano Antica Sweet Vermouth 

2-3 dashes of Angostura bitters 

Combine all ingredients into a mixing glass and stir until very cold and diluted! Strain into a large coup or martini glass. Garnish with an orange peel and a luxardo cherry.
